Seborrheic Dermatitis Treatment
Skin disease is one of the diseases that any woman wouldn’t want to have. That’s probably one of the reasons why many of them spend a lot of money on skin and beauty products just to make sure that they look presentable and free from skin diseases. On the other hand, no matter how careful or vain we are, we cannot avoid such illness from harming our skin. One common example is seborrheic dermatitis. It’s a condition wherein the skin turns oily, scaly and flaky. It normally affects the scalp thus the layman’s term for seborrheic dermatitis is “dandruff.” It doesn’t only affect the adolescents or the adults but the babies as well. It can affect the face and chest, the creases of the arms, legs and groin.
There are many ways to treat this kind of disease. The most common seborrheic dermatitis treatment is through the use of shampoo with ingredients like salicylic acid, selenium sulfide or zinc pyrithione. All of them are found over-the-counter and usually in stores and supermarket. We apply them directly to our hair, and we make sure that it reaches our scalp and let them stay for about five minutes to work effectively. If it doesn’t work, you can ask your doctor for special prescription.
