Katie holmes is one of the well known stars in Hollywood. She has this innocent and mysterious look that captivates everyone. From her younger days she became popular because of her great acting skills and she was first recognized in her portrayal of the character Joey Potter in the hit teen drama Dawson’s Creek. That show paved way for her other projects such as Phone Booth, Disturbing Behavior and Teaching Mrs. Tingle.

Her rise to fame doubled when she was featured on the celebrity couple news together with one of the hottest actor of all time, Tom Cruise. After breaking up with Chris Klein it was rumoured that they were dating. It became a big item in the Hollywood press and eventually their relationship status ended up in marriage. Tom Cruise had shown the romantic side of him by proposing on top of the Eifel Tower in 2005, and their wedding was equally fabulous and dreamy. Their lavish wedding is one of the most talked about yet they tried to hold the ceremony privately. Katie’s gown was designed by Giorgio Armani. The off-shoulder wedding dress was in white and has intricate lacing and fully beaded with Swarovski crystals. The groom’s suit and the bridesmaid dresses were also made by the same designer. It was held in a castle in Italy which made it like a royal wedding. Hollywood guest like will and Jada Smith, David and Victoria Beckham flew in to witness it.

When it comes to fashion Katie has greatly transformed. From being plain looking, she now began to step up when to choosing clothes for herself as well as for her little girl Suri. Her daughter became one of the best dresses celebrity kids. As she and posh became BFFs, she also embraced fashion. Being a friend of a style icon, Victoria Beckham will surely influence her especially if you shop together in the streets of New York and Paris.

Still talking about People’s Choice fashion, I made my own list of what’s hot and what’s not. To top the list of among the best dressed celebrities were Sofia Vergara who looked stunning in her curves and natural beauty, Jessica Alba’s still hot in her silver Antonio Berardi, and Taylor looked cute in her tube dress from Christian Louboutin.

The lady in red Lea Michele and her costar Diana Agron were too hot not to notice as well. I also liked the outfit of Sandra Bullock; I think she’s getting hotter these days aside from her blockbuster hit movies. Some of the celebrities that I think committed fashion blunders were Carrie Underwood in her black and white gown that seemed more of a net, Katie Cassidy, Rachael Harris and even my favorite Hayley Williams of Paramore looked not so good with her own choice of black gown over decorated with ribbons. But then again, I’m not really a pro when it comes to fashion so feel free to comment on my humble judgment.

One way to study celebrity fashion is by watching red carpet events or awards night. Surely, the very recent People’s Choice award got me glued to my seats waiting for every presenter and of course glorious winners. I’m glad that two of my favorite dramas House and Glee bagged some awards including Best Actor in Drama Series in the name of Hugh Laurie.

I also adore the women of Glee especially Lea Michele who looked stunning in her short red gown and Diana Agron also looked fabulous in her knee length lacey black dress. The reason why I love People’s Choice is simply because it’s the vote of the people that really counts unlike some award giving bodies wherein judges have the tendency to dwell on their own biases. Hugh Jackman and Johnny Depp were also among the winners. It was really a showcase of fame and beauty and definitely one of the bright sides to look at.
